Toys for Collectors is a traditional mail order company established in 1978 by Gerhard & Elizabeth Klarwasser in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. I purchased the company in 1999 and relocated all its contents to Watertown, New York.
The Company niche(s) are primarily:
1:43 scale vehicles, mass produced and hand-built hard to find metal models of cars, trucks, and emergency vehicles - but range from 1:90 to 1:18;
and mass produced and hand-built hard to find construction metal models typically in 1:50 scale - but range from 1:48 to 1:16.
The company is located inside a historic office building in Watertown Public Square. The Company does not have a retail showroom, but welcomes collectors to drop by and say hello and do some treasure hunting. A one day notice is required, however...
There approximately 6,000 different items here at Toys for Collectors. About 3,000 will be displayed on the website. The other 3,000... well...
After you make a purchase, you will receive a periodic newsletter to keep you informed on new products, limited run specials, and news on the other 3,000 pieces.
The office hours are typically 10:00AM to 5:00PM Eastern Time Monday Through Friday. But have been known to be here until midnight.
